Sharing

How sharing works

Niah is a portable operating system. We call it niahOS. Sharing works the same on your phone, tablet, or computer.

Three ways

  1. 1Your device — the Share button on iPhone, Android, Mac, or Windows. Messages, Mail, AirDrop, whatever you already use.
  2. 2Social — a post inside Niah. You pick who can see it, and you can add a place.
  3. 3Inside an app — Music, Photos, Videos, Files, and Drive. Same idea: who, and where.

1. Your device

Tap Share. Your phone or computer opens its own list.

On iPhone that might be Messages or Mail. On a computer it might be copy-link. niahOS does not replace that list. It hands your thing to it.

2. Social

A post on Niah. Friends see it in their feed, in the order you wrote it.

  1. 1Pick who — everyone, people who follow you, a group, or just you.
  2. 2Pick where — add a city if you want. You can make it local-only.

3. Inside an app

Music, Photos, Videos, Files, and Drive use the same who-and-where picker as a Social post. That is not the same as posting to your feed.

You can list a photo in Photos Discover for anyone to find, share it with followers or a group, and still not post it on Social. Or the other way around. You choose each time.
