How to share files

PDFs, docs, and other files. Three ways on niahOS: your device, Social, or Files Discover.

Open Files

  1. 1From the home screen, tap Files.
  2. 2Yours is your private Drive. Folders live here.
  3. 3Discover is the catalog of files people can find.

Your device

  1. 1On a file post, tap Share.
  2. 2Pick Mail, Messages, or another app on your phone or computer.
  3. 3Or copy the link.

That is your device doing the sending. It is not a new Niah post.

Social

  1. 1In Yours, tap Share, then On Social on a file that is not a post yet.
  2. 2Or start a new file post from New.
  3. 3Pick who can see it. Add a place if it belongs to a town or a team trip.

Files Discover

This is separate from Social. Tap Share, then In Files or In Drive.

  1. 1Discover — anyone can find it in Files.
  2. 2Followers only — people who follow you can open it.
  3. 3Private — just you, until you pick someone. You can also share with a group or certain people.

A file can live in Files Discover without being a Social post. You can do one, the other, or both.

Still private?

If you never tap Share, the file stays in Yours. Only you see it.

That is the default. Sharing is always a choice you make.
