How to share photos

Three ways on niahOS: your phone, a Social post, or Photos Discover.

Open Photos

  1. 1From the home screen, tap Photos.
  2. 2Yours is your private library. Discover is the public catalog.
  3. 3Open a picture or an album.

Your device

  1. 1On a post, tap Share.
  2. 2Pick Messages, Mail, or another app on your phone or computer.
  3. 3Or copy the link and paste it.

That uses your device. It is not a new post inside Niah.

Social

  1. 1In Yours, tap Share, then On Social on a picture that is not a post yet.
  2. 2Or make a new photo post from New.
  3. 3Pick who can see it, and add a place if you want.

Photos Discover

This is separate from Social. Tap Share, then In Photos.

  1. 1Photos Discover — anyone can find it in Photos.
  2. 2Followers only — people who follow you can look.
  3. 3Private — just you, until you pick someone. You can also share with a group or certain people.

A picture can live in Photos Discover without being a Social post. You can do one, the other, or both.

Share an album

  1. 1Open your album.
  2. 2Tap Share, then In Photos. Pick Discover, followers, a group, certain people, or private. Or Share from this device for Messages and Mail.
  3. 3That stays in Photos. It does not have to go on your profile or in a Social feed.
