Spotted this net‑and‑wood combo on a quiet beach walk. The light was just right to make the fibers sing, and it reminded me how everyday objects can become quiet poetry.

I shoot portraits + shoreline light in Westport, and I can’t stop collecting contact sheets like souvenirs.

I’m sitting by the window, the streetlights spilling amber onto the sidewalk, and a steaming bowl of noodle soup sits in front of me. The broth glistens, a tiny ripple catching the light, and the steam curls up like a soft sigh. It’s the kind of moment that feels both intimate and communal—just me, the night, and the quiet hum of the city beyond the glass. I love how the simple act of sharing a bowl can turn a regular evening into a little ritual of comfort and connection. Here’s to finding warmth in unexpected places, one spoonful at a time.
